Evaluations
A FCD Exchange jewelry report is a complete evaluation of the condition, quality and value of an item of jewelry. This document includes a description and assessment of the materials, design and craftsmanship of the piece. Our trained and certified professionals evaluate every piece carefully and thoroughly before including their findings in a detailed report. Having your jewelry evaluated means you can be sure it will be valued properly for resell purposes.
Appraisals
Jewelry/loose diamond appraisals are an important service to know its worth for insurance, resale, or estate planning purposes. A jewelry/Diamond appraisal involves a professional assessment of the quality, authenticity, and value of the piece in question. FCD’s specialized services include a thorough examination of the jewelry/Diamond to determine its condition, materials, and craftsmanship, also evaluate any gemstones or diamonds to determine their quality and characteristics, such as color, clarity, and cut. Once the evaluation is complete, a detailed report that includes an estimate of the items current market value is generated, registered.
Recertification
FCD Exchange uses several of the world’s leading independent diamond grading laboratories to provide a 3rd party evaluation. By using multiple labs, DTE ensures that grading standards reflect a balance of the prevailing global standards.
A diamond/Jewelry certificate, also known as a certification report, is issued by an accredited independent gemological laboratory. In addition to the diamond/Jewelry carat weight and measurements, a certificate includes grades for the diamond’s cut, color and clarity. These grades are the opinion of the individual at the lab who graded the diamond, based on the lab’s own subjective grading standards.
Certificates also include other information about the diamond’s polish, symmetry and fluorescence, and also a graphical depiction of the diamond showing the location of the diamond’s inclusions.
